Ethan Brown Concludes Super Trofeo Asia Season with a Top-10 at Misano World Finals
Misano, Italy – Ethan Brown wrapped up his Super Trofeo Rookie campaign at Misano over the weekend, taking part as a solo driver in his first Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals and challenging a combined field of the best drivers from both the Asia and North America championships. The event featured a packed 38-car grid made up of Pro and Pro-Am competitors, delivering one of the most competitive line-ups of the season.
Going into the weekend feeling good after securing the Vice Champion position in the Asian championship, Brown qualified P13 for Race 1 and P16 for Race 2, a solid effort in a field where margins were incredibly tight.
In Race 1, Brown delivered a solid drive with consistent pace, he progressed through the field to finish P8, securing a top-10 result in his World Finals debut.
“To score a top 10 in my first World Finals race was a really special moment,” Brown said. “The level of competition was unbelievable, so finishing P8 felt like a solid step forward for me.”
Race 2 told a different story. While holding P13 and well positioned for another strong result, Brown encountered a gearbox issue halfway through the race that rapidly escalated, ultimately forcing him to retire the car. It marked the first technical problem he has experienced all season.
“It was really disappointing to have to retire from the race, especially knowing how strong the car has been all year,” he said. “We were on for another solid finish, so it’s tough to accept, but that’s motorsport.”
Despite the setback, Brown remains positive about the weekend, recognising that tackling a new circuit like Misano and competing against the top global Super Trofeo drivers, was a valuable part of his development. “Misano was a big challenge for me,” Brown explained. “It’s a technical track and I never fully got to grips with it. Every lap I was learning, but I felt I was always chasing those last few tenths of a second.”
As the season concludes, Brown reflects on a year of significant progress in his rookie campaign. From his first laps in the series to competing in the World Finals, the trajectory has been one of continuous learning and development. The challenges, wins, podiums, and experiences across the year have cemented his growth as a driver, and he now looks ahead to 2026 with optimism.
