ROUND 2 REPORT - SHANGHAI

Singapore’s Ethan Brown Secures Pole and Race 1 Victory in Super Trofeo Asia Round 2 at Shanghai

Shanghai, China – Singaporean rising star Ethan Brown delivered a commanding performance at Round 2 of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Championship at the Shanghai International Circuit, storming to pole position and a dominant Race 1 victory, followed by a fighting P5 finish in Race 2 alongside co-driver Jacob Riegel.

Brown set the pace early in the weekend, topping the qualifying charts and securing pole position for Race 1. From the moment the race began, Brown controlled the field with precision and consistency, handing over to Riegel at the half way mark, the duo lead from lights to flag in a faultless drive to claim their first win of the season.

“It was a great way to kick off the weekend,” said Brown. “Everything clicked—from qualifying to race pace—and the car was absolutely hooked up. To take the win representing Singapore is a proud moment for me and the team.”

In Race 2, it was co-driver Jacob Riegel who took the start from sixth on the grid. Early in the race, Riegel made strong progress but was unfortunately involved in contact with another car, resulting in a spin that dropped the car down the order. Riegel recovered impressively, working his way back through the field before handing the car over to Brown at the pit window.

“Jacob did a great job recovering after the spin,” Brown noted. “These things happen in tight racing, and he kept his head down and brought the car back in contention. I pushed in the second stint and managed to bring us home in fifth. It wasn’t the cleanest race, but we salvaged strong points.”

The results from Shanghai further establish Brown as strong contender in the Pro category, currently he sits 2nd in the standing after two rounds with Round 3 taking place at the iconic Fuji Speedway in Japan from 27-29 June.
