Ethan Brown Battles Through Tough GT Masters Weekend at Lausitzring

Lausitzring, Germany - Singapore racing driver Ethan Brown continued his debut GT Masters campaign at Round 3 of the championship this past weekend at Germany's Lausitzring, overcoming another steep learning curve as he tackled the unique circuit for the very first time.

The weekend marked yet another new challenge for Brown, who arrived at Lausitzring with no prior racing experience at the venue. Known for its unusual combination of a high-speed oval and technical infield section, the circuit presents a distinctive test unlike any other on the GT Masters calendar.

Despite the challenge, Brown delivered a solid performance in Race 1, bringing the car home in 13th position after a hard-fought battle in one of the most competitive GT grids in Europe. Race 2 unfortunately ended prematurely when a technical issue forced the team to retire the car, resulting in a DNF and denying Brown the opportunity to build on the progress shown throughout the weekend.

"Lausitzring was another completely new experience for me," said Brown. "It's a really unique circuit because part of the lap uses the famous oval while the rest runs through a technical infield section. That creates a challenge where you're constantly balancing very different driving styles throughout the lap."

"The level of competition in GT Masters continues to push me. In my qualifying session, the whole field was separated by less than a second, which shows just how important every single corner and every tenth of a second is. Small improvements can make a huge difference in your grid position."

“The results on paper don’t look great but I made a lot of progress this weekend, getting closer to front runner’s times. I am really happy and I know I am near to improving my results.”

Away from the racing, the weekend provided another memorable reminder of the scale and passion of German motorsport. More than 58,000 fans attended the event across the weekend, creating an incredible atmosphere around the circuit.

"The support from the fans was incredible," Brown added. "To have that many people at the circuit and to get the opportunity to meet so many of them throughout the weekend was really special. It's something we don't often experience at this scale, and it's a privilege to represent Singapore in front of such passionate motorsport fans."

Brown will now turn his attention to Round 4 of the GT Masters Championship at the legendary Nürburgring GP circuit, one of the most iconic venues in world motorsport, as he continues his rookie season against some of Europe's strongest GT racing talent.
