Europe Round 5 Report - BARCELONA
Ethan Brown Impresses in European Debut with Podium Finish at Barcelona
Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Spain - Singaporean racing driver Ethan Brown delivered an impressive performance in his European debut at Round 5 of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya over the weekend. Competing in a highly competitive 33-car grid, Brown and his co-driver Elias De La Torre claimed 4th place in Race 1 before stepping onto the podium with a 3rd place finish in Race 2.
The Barcelona round marked the first time Brown has raced in Europe, joining forces with fellow Lamborghini Young Driver, American driver Elias De La Torre. The pair quickly adapted to the European conditions, showcasing strong pace and teamwork across both races.
Reflecting on the weekend, Brown shared, “It was incredible to race at such an iconic circuit alongside the best Super Trofeo drivers in Europe. The level of competition was intense, but Elias and I found our rhythm quickly and really made the most of the opportunity. Finishing on the podium in our first European outing feels amazing.”
The decision to compete in Barcelona was a strategic one, as Brown prepares to attend the Lamborghini Young Driver Training Camp next week at Lamborghini Headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy. The experience in Europe provided valuable seat time and familiarity with European circuits and conditions ahead of the World Finals at Misano in November.
Coming to Barcelona made perfect sense,” added Brown. “It’s given me great race experience in European conditions and a strong confidence boost before the Young Driver Camp next week. I’m grateful for the support that’s made this possible.”
Brown now turns his focus back to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia series, where he will contest the final round from November 6–7, followed by the prestigious Lamborghini World Finals, from November 8–9. Both events are held at the Misano World Circuit, Italy. Building on the momentum from his strong European debut, Brown aims to finish his rookie season on a high and carry that form into the global showdown against the best drivers from the Asian, European, and North American championships.
